Why We Publish Our Pricing

Most tradeline companies don't publish their prices. You have to call, fill out a form, or chat with a salesperson to find out what they charge. We think that's unnecessary and a little suspicious.

Our pricing is on our store pages. This article exists to explain the pricing logic - why Chase tradelines cost what they cost, why Amex commands a premium, what you're actually paying for, and what you should expect in 2026.

We believe transparency builds trust faster than any marketing copy. If our pricing doesn't work for your budget, we'd rather you know now than after a sales call. Browse our store page for real-time inventory and exact pricing.

How Pricing Is Determined

Tradeline pricing is not arbitrary. Five factors determine what we charge:

1. Account Age

FICO weighting: Account age is a significant scoring factor. Older accounts contribute more to your average account age, which positively affects credit scores. A 5-year account is more valuable than a 1-year account. This is why aged Amex accounts command premium pricing - most people don't have access to 5-year-old credit card accounts to add their family members as authorized users.

2. Credit Limit

Credit utilization is 30% of your FICO score. A tradeline with a $25,000 limit gives you more room to maintain low utilization across your existing accounts than a $5,000 limit. Higher-limit tradelines are priced higher because they contribute more to the utilization component of your score.

3. Payment History Quality

The primary account holder's payment history on that specific account matters. Accounts with perfect payment histories are more valuable than those with late payments, even if the late payments were minor and the account is otherwise in good standing.

4. Issuer Scoring Weight

Different FICO models weigh different issuers differently. For older FICO models used in mortgage lending (FICO 2, 4, 5), Amex and Chase accounts tend to carry more weight than some other issuers. This is why Amex and premium Chase tradelines command higher prices - their credit-building impact tends to be more significant across FICO model versions.

5. Supply and Demand

Like any market, tradeline prices fluctuate with supply (how many primary account holders are willing to offer aged accounts) and demand (how many consumers want aged tradelines). The tradeline market peaked in 2023–2024 as consumer awareness grew; pricing has stabilized in 2025–2026 as more supply entered the market.

What's Included in Our Price

When you purchase a tradeline from CPN Makers, here's what you receive:

  • Authorized user confirmation: We coordinate with the primary account holder to add you as an authorized user. You receive confirmation when this is complete.
  • 3-bureau verification: We verify that the tradeline has posted to Equifax, Experian, and TransUnion before charging your payment. If it fails to post to any bureau, you receive a full refund.
  • Rental period coverage: Your authorized user status remains active for the full rental period (3, 6, or 12 months).
  • Support: Access to our support team via email if you have questions about your tradeline status.
  • Score impact monitoring: We provide guidance on checking your credit report to confirm the tradeline is contributing to your score. We do not guarantee specific score outcomes.

What's NOT included: We do not guarantee any specific credit score improvement. We do not provide legal advice. We do not offer credit counseling or debt management services. We are a tradeline marketplace, not a credit repair company. Any company promising guaranteed score improvements should be approached with extreme caution - it is an FTC Act Section 5 violation.

How We Compare to Competitors

We've looked at what our primary competitors charge for equivalent tradelines. Here's our honest assessment:

Data sourced from publicly available pricing pages, published rate cards, and consumer reviews as of Q3 2026. This comparison is based on publicly observable information and may not reflect current pricing or policies.

We compete on transparency rather than being the cheapest. Our pricing reflects our verification process (we confirm posting to all 3 bureaus before charging), our refund policy, and our published pricing model. If you find a significantly cheaper option that offers the same verification process and refund policy, we'd like to hear about it.

Payment Terms

Timing: We charge your payment method only after the tradeline has been confirmed posting to all three credit bureaus. This typically takes 5–7 business days after you receive your authorized user confirmation.

Methods: We accept major credit cards and bank transfers. Payment is processed securely through our checkout system.

Rental renewal: If you want to extend your rental period beyond the initial term, contact us before the rental expires. Renewal pricing is available at a discounted per-month rate compared to the initial rental.

Refunds: If a tradeline fails to post to all three bureaus, you receive a full refund. No partial refunds are offered for tradelines that post correctly but do not produce your desired score outcome. No company can legitimately guarantee specific credit score outcomes.

Frequently Asked Questions

See the FAQ section at the top of this page. Additional common questions:

Can I get a discount for multiple tradelines?

Yes. We offer volume pricing for customers purchasing 2 or more tradelines. Contact us via our store page or support email for volume pricing details. Multiple tradelines from the same issuer may not provide additional benefit - our team can advise on optimal combinations for your specific credit profile.

Why do some companies charge less than CPN Makers for equivalent tradelines?

Some companies may be sourcing younger accounts (1-year-old instead of 3-year-old), using different verification processes, or structuring their pricing to exclude the 3-bureau verification step. We verify all three bureaus before charging and only sell tradelines that meet our minimum age and limit standards. Ask any company what their 3-bureau verification process looks like before purchasing.

Do you offer payment plans?

We do not currently offer installment payment plans. Payment is due after the tradeline is confirmed posting to your credit report.
